Will WikiLeaks harm India US relationship?

0

WikiLeaks, a self-proclaimed whistleblower website, is reported to be under cyber attack. The site has collected millions of important data related to the diplomatic relation of US with other countries and many other secret and sensible information that if published would destroy the relation of US with other key countries.

The US meanwhile warned India and other key countries across the world about the unexpected incident and the potential embarrassing release of classified documents which they fear may cause harm the American interest and create tension in the world environment.

Julian Assange, the founder of The WikiLeaks has said there would be "seven times" as many secret documents as the 400,000 Iraq war logs it published last month.

US State Department Spokesman P J Crowley said that they have contacted India and other key countries like Britain, Russia, Germany, France, Saudi Arabia and informed them about this unexpected embarrassing incident.

WikiLeaks today claimed it was under a cyber attack and expressed its concern that the documents would be made public through several leading newspapers though American administration asked the website to refrain from making the classified documents public. It has also asked WikiLeaks to return the "illegally obtained" papers, insisting that their leak would "endanger the lives of countless individuals."

Julian Assange put the number of documents to be released at more than a quarter of a million which US alleged has violated the US Law.

Before this, the WikiLeaks had published thousands of important documents on the US lead wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Last October it released thousands of secret US files which contained detailed abuse of Iraqi prisoners in US custody, rights violations and civilian deaths.

India however said that India Government is not concern about the WikiLeaks but is interested to know about this. In response to a question Indian External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna said that their Government is not really concern about the Leakage but interested to leant about what were there in the website and the information the site has collected so far.

Honor Killing and it's impact

0

Honour Killing has become a new matter of concern today where a man is killed for disobeying the racial and social custom. In north India honour killing is common news while other parts of independent India are not far away. Recently a mother had locked her daughter up for 5 days without food and water and threatened to kill her.

The guilty she did by marrying secretly a youth from a lower caste.

The girl, a Metro Rail employee, was rescued by police after her husband complained that his mother-in-law had been torturing his wife for over a week and was planning to kill her.

Police reach there and rescued the girl from the locked room. Her mother had also tried to end her life by slashing her wrist. She was discharged after first aid while her daughter had to remain in the hospital for few days.

In another incidence the family members of a girl allegedly killed her and her teenaged lover and hanged them as exhibits in their house for the village to see their "fate."

Both the girl and her lover were from Jat families but their relation was not accepted to the girl’s family. For that reason they brutally killed the girl and her lover in order to keep their heads up in the eye of society.

Is this a good step what the families have taken? If this type of customs reign then what would be upliftment of Indian society Indian culture and its education?

Nalini, the lone survived of the Rajib assignation sought freedom

0

Nalini, the lone survived of the Rajiv Gandhi assignation case has sought freedom and her pleas has been rejected by the Tamilnadu Govt.

Daughter of a sub-inspector and a nurse, Nalini has led an incredible life. After completing graduation in Commerce she started her career as an unassuming private secretary to the managing director of a private company. She came close to Murugan, an active suicide squad member of LTTE. Drawn into the core team that plotted the Rajiv Gandhi assassination, she was even part of the dry run carried out at a meet addressed by V P Singh.

The 43 year old accused sought freedom after spending 19 years in Jail. She had given birth to a girl child in Prison. In her petition she said “Now I am 43 years old, and I do not think that I will live for long. I want to settle in life peacefully”

Nalini is considered the most vital link between the conspiracy and the assassination, for she is the lone surviving member of the five-member squad that travelled to Sriperumpudur to kill Rajiv. The other members of the squad Dhanu, Subha, Sivarasan and the photographer Haribabu died either during the blast or committed suicide using cyanide capsules when cornered later.

According to the CBI, an important provocation for the LTTE to murder Rajiv was the former prime ministers interview to a Hindi daily on August 19,1990,in which Rajiv said he was not in favour of withdrawing the Indian Peace Keeping Force (IPKF) from Sri Lanka. The Congress electoral manifesto that year too iterated its commitment to the 1987 Rajiv-Jayavardhana accord as well as the territorial integrity of Sri Lanka.

In pursuance of the conspiracy, batches of hardcore LTTE commandoes started arriving in India. The first batch of three operatives reached India on September 12,1990.The final batch of battle-hardened LTTE hands, led by Sivarasan, landed on May 1,1991.The human bomb, Dhanu, her close friend Subha, and Santhan, besides three other men were part of that team. They were seen off at Jaffna by LTTEs intelligence wing chief Pottu Amman.

Several locals, including Nalini and freelance photographer Haribabu, were befriended and many hideouts were arranged in residential localities in Chennai during the period.

A man ate child’s brain

0

What kind a bizarre news be!!! A man has eaten up a child’s brain to cure his epilepsy. What shocking news!!! But it is true. The incident took place at Qixian village in Yunnan, south west China. The man killed a boy just to have the brain of the boy. The man then ate the brain and buried the body.

The incident came to light when the boy’s mother shouted for her son who had been missing from the night. She even asked the village head to help her in finding her son.

The search party discovered the boy’s body buried three miles away in a grain field, with the top of his head peeled back and part of his brain removed. Two blood stained rocks with some fractured bones were also found beside the boy's body.

The man was arrested and he told the police that he believed an old wives' tale that eating the brain with earthworms and ants would cure his fits. Compelled by that story and to cure his epilepsy he had killed that boy and eat his brain.

Fanaticism revealed again

0

I came across a news today that compelled me to share with my readers. The news was that a violation took place in Karnataka while protesting against an article written by the Exiled author Taslima Narsin.

The protesters ganged in a procession burned 12 two-wheelers, two tractors, two autos and pelted stones at buses and buildings. The Police opened fire to disperse the mob and arrested two dozens of protesters in connection with the incidents. Curfew has been clamped to control the situation.

I am not going to find out the reason behind the incident. I would like to stop the use of religion for political interest and ask the fanatics to come out of the shell that has been built in the soil of politics. The religion has not been able to escape itself from the grip of Politics and therefore still been used to mislead people.

A visit to Book Fair

0

I have made a short trip to Book Fair today. It was really a congested place as huge visitors could not visit yesterday due to power failure and have come today to quench their thirst. I do like such fair as i am book lover, i was even used to be called as Bookworm.. Alas!! i dont get enough time to read now

Well.. lets go to the situation of the book fair.. it was really a congested place, the crowd was just double of a normal day. Being Sunday people got a good chance to spend the day there. I was with my friend and we have had a good moment there visiting stalls and had a glimpse of the books we had been able to touch..

Dust had got a good chance to show its power, everywhere i could found this great avatar roaming about and preparing himself for another fight with the people there trying save themselves..

Children as well as school goers also have learned the use of visiting book-fair. They have found a good opportunity to buy many story books and escape from the study for that day. It is a good sign that the parents also encourage their children and bring them to such fairs.

We all love books, i realized though we hardly get time to read. But the effort we do to manage time and come to such fairs proves that we really love books.

There are many fairs and exhibitions organized every year but only the book fair earns such huge visitors. Definitely we all love books.
