Kolkata Police in Blog world

0

The Kolkata police have also updated themselves. They have also planned to enter into the cyber world to stretch their helping hands in order to help kolkatans in many ways.

The city police is going to launching its own blog. Yes.. it is true that they have launched their first e-helpline to provide their service.

According to Gautam Mohan Chakrabarti, the city Police Commissioner “"It is a people-friendly way of reaching out. We wish to tell people about the social work or community work police are involved in, because they can also avail the opportunities. We want to hold frank and open discussions on policing. This can be a healthy way of improving policing and public interface."

Kolkata Police already has a website, but its role is more informative. The blog on the other hand, would be interactive. It will be an open platform for everyone. People can discuss, lodge complaints, take up issues for the betterment of the city, give suggestions and, starting this Puja, wish each other Subho Bijoya. You might want to tell police about your para cyber cafe that is flouting all the rules, perhaps a neighbourhood that needs better night policing.

Celebrities would also join in and not necessarily the quintessential Bengali or the conservative Kolkatan. The best names in art, theatre and literature may join up on Kolkata Police's blog. You may learn more about this from http://www.kolkatapolice.gov.in
